Liferaft inspections and servicing must be carried out periodically in accordance with SOLAS requirements, manufacturer instructions and applicable class rules. Hydrostatic release units, inflation systems, gas cylinders, survival equipment and all life-supporting materials inside the liferaft are carefully inspected, tested and certified. Expired, damaged or missing items are identified and replaced as required. The condition of the liferaft container, operating mechanism, painter line, valves and related components is also checked to ensure reliable deployment during an emergency.
